DESCRIPTION:
→ Dietrich is normally seen as the very picture of an attractive, sophisticated man in the prime of life. He is a dark-skinned male with silky black hair, which is not the usual color of normal Ishvalan's. He wears a plaid military cap, with a two metal rings attached to the left side. Alongside his plaid cap is a plaid-colored, long-sleeved, collared shirt that is frequently seen hanging from his waist. He also wears a white tank top that is worn beneath an opened black, open-collared jacket. He also wears black pants and shoes. He has two necklaces of different lengths; the longer one has a crystal-like red color and the shorter necklace appears to be similar to a dog tag necklace. The red crystal is a token of his first teacher, which is what he calls a 'Fake Philosophers Stone'. He normally wears sunglasses to cover his red Eyes and if he is not wearing them they are usually hanging from his shirt color. He also normally wears headphones which have the knack of canceling out any other noise in the room playing who knows what kinds of music. He carries a leather bound book on his side at all times, which is his own personal research notes which are highly encoded. If required to he does possess a military uniform and does occasionally wear it.
PERSONALITY:
→ Dietrich overall has a both a extraordinary calm personality and a rather solitary and matter-of-fact attitude, which in all nothing ever seems to bother him to much. Though usually that is not the first thing that people notice about him; rather it is a shallow and self-absorbed man, infamous among many of his colleagues and subordinates alike for the selfish and narcissistic aura he gives off. And is usually seen acting in an ostentatious manner and appears to act mostly out of self-interest. His naturally calm attitude is used to his advantage in battle, as it becomes easier for him to maintain his composure to stay focused on the situation at hand, and ultimately notice everything around him. As a result, he can quickly adjust to any situation to make keen and thought-out decisions, allowing him to stay steps ahead of his opponents. His own thoughts are considered to be very calculating, and has a incredible thirst for knowledge and understanding of anything. He has a love and fascination with books that are about anything, though his most loved areas are Alchemic theory and history. One of the things that helps this is the fact that he possesses a Photographic memory, which allows him to remember anything in extreme detail from anything that he has seen or read about before. He is a firm believer in the theory of Equivalent Exchange, believing that everything must equal out; though this belief puts him at odds with other Ishvalan's due to that normally they are all very religious, himself not believing in a god. His naturally calm attitude he says is only possible from his knack of chain smoking cigarettes, which the cigarettes themselves allows him to think clearer. Despite these he has a love for the ladies, obviously the beautiful people which he calls eye candy and is usually seen with a different girl nearly every day. Because of his love of gaining knowledge he tends to perform eccentric alchemic tests which usually involve expensive substances, and for not wanting the military to hinder he gets the ingredients himself which ends up in him owing many loan sharks.

HISTORY:
→ Dietrich was born in Ishval in 1992 to a father that he never met and to a mother he barley got to know, his father died shortly after he was born in a construction accident when a large stone fell onto of him. After his fathers death his mother fell into a deep depression and never recovered, she spend the remainder of her days barley saying a word acting like a ghost of her former self. Because of this Dietrich was taken in by his Uncle who was in fact a Skilled Alchemist, and considered one of the greatest minds in experimental theories and in overall knowledge of Alchemy. His uncle moved them both into central in order to be nearer the Central library, which he had a state alchemist contact which allowed him limitless access. Once they were in central his uncle was constantly working and so Dietrich grew a knack to helping his uncle at a young age with his experiments and started to study alchemy himself where at the age of 7 it was discovered that he could in fact use it and was fairly gifted. Once this was discovered his uncle set out to teach Dietrich everything he knew about alchemy. From that day forward Dietrich's days were spend studding elements, chemicals, and reactions. Learning the basic theories of alchemy and especially on how Transmutation Circle's work, which it was here that he learned his most valuable lesson and first "In order to gain, something of equal value must be lost in return" which became the basis of all of his alchemy for the rest of his life. Day after day, night after night were spend under candle light reading book after book. Memorizing one transmutation circle after another, learning how to dissect a foreign Transmutation circle in order to find out what its purpose is. His master would put him into a room full of foreign Transmutation Circles and he would have to dissect each one before a specific length of time, if he didn’t there was no dinner so he quickly learned from his mistakes.

During his days of study Dietrich was never allowed time for himself, so using his growing skills in alchemy he would use it to escape into the streets of Central and spend the night in it to simply enjoy himself. He firstly found out though that in order to get anything you wanted you needed to have money, using alchemy he would do a few sideshows for fun to show off his skills and to gain a few coins. He drank his first alchahol at the age of 14 after swiping a case of it from a unsuspected person, he thought it was the worst thing he ever tasted though he learned to enjoy it in a few years. It was also then that he discovered another thing, the fact that people were still racist against Ishvalan's so he learned to wear sunglasses at all times to cover his red eyes. Though all good things must come to a end and eventually his uncle discovered that he was escaping his studies to as his uncle said it 'Meddle with idiots.' and eventually Dietrich learned to not even try to escape into the city.
When Dietrich turned 15 his uncle began to become intrigued by a specific type of alchemy that he never before dared to research before...Human Transmutation and Philosopher Stones. The pinnacle and the greatest taboo in all of alchemy, the only reason why he wanted to start this now was because he had a decent student who actually understood far more than he ever expected. Though as his master soon discovered this was a much longer road than he would ever expect, and it wasn’t just the fact that any legal documents on human transmutation were usually classified so they would almost have to start from scratch with just what they had. Though after 5 months into their investigation they came into one dead end into another, so his Uncle thought that it was time to find another lead, which eventually took the two into Xing in the far east where the people used Alkahestry rather than Alchemy, and them basing their skills mostly in the medical fields he thought that Alkahestry would lead them to a better lead than Alchemy alone would. The two disappeared from the Country for over a year, returning to Central with newfound leads and Alkahestry skills. Though even with these newfound skills they were met with even more barriers and could never figure out the finial ingredient was to the formula which it never left that stage for his Uncle died of Natural causes when Dietrich turned 17. Which then he was left with all of his uncles knowledge, with no where else to go he thought that the best way that he could learn more was to join the State Alchemist program where he developed flame alchemy in order to pass the State Alchemist Exam and was accepted into the Program under the name The 'Red Alchemist'.
POWERS/ALCHEMIC ABILITY:
→ Dietrich is adequately versed in standard physical transmutation, Alkahestry, a well as some experimental theory. Though his combat skill lies mostly in a powerful fire-based combat style in which he manipulates the concentration of oxygen in the surrounding air, or by breaking nearby water into Oxygen and Hydrogen, raising its density to a level at which it becomes combustible and creating pathways of oxygen and hydrogen through which he can direct the ensuing flame birthed by a spark or flame, which happens in a instanious speed, and causing either localized explosions, or more large scale.

BRIEFING:
→ Dietrichs Flame alchemy is usually used a a purely offensive technique which main purpose is to completly overwealm his targets, defences, or even thier own attacks in flame based explosions. This style of combat alchemy is normally used with his gloves. Made of pyrotex/ignition cloth and embroidered with unique flame alchemy Transmutation Circles, these gloves create a spark when he rubs his fingers together and allow him to manipulate the concentration of oxygen in the surrounding air and by breaking apart nearby water into oxygen and hydrogen, raising its density to a level at which it becomes combustible and creating pathways of oxygen and hydrogen through which he can direct the ensuing flame birthed by the spark. The 'snap' sound is caused by the instantaneous speed at which the gases and sparks react together and pop. Which as a end results in a instanious explosion of fire. Thought his is possible to use another sorce of a ingition such as a Cigerette or matches. The one downside to using the gloves is the fact that its enemy is water/rain, because the humidity makes it impossible for his gloves to produce sparks.
