[blockquote]---Three Days Ago---
---Maggotthrone City---

Deep within Maggotthrone city within the deepest room of the largest building sat the infamous ruler of the Maggotspine Mountain Ranges, the man who had conquered it in its entirety centuries earlier upon a path of chaos of blood, the man known as the Maggot Barron. It had been several years since anyone in the public had seen him but anyone with a simple thought to their mind understood that he was deep within the trances of cultivation, as to whether or not this was a simple mediation session or an attempt to advance was anyone's guess. Within a dark enclosed room he sat deep within mediation, surrounding him was was bloodied pulsating masses. Every so often one of these masses would burst ejecting blood as thousands of maggots crawled out of the flesh. Once every few months the Barron would catch a glimpse of one of these maggots and upon sensing it he would snatch it up, inspect it for a moment before he threw it into his mouth as if it were a snack... but every time he did this there was a aura of anger and disappointment as if it were wrong.

Whether it was by luck or simple coincidence at the moment that he awoke and was inspecting one of these maggots, just as he was about to toss it into his mouth the golden aura passed over the city, he paused and for the first time in nearly 12 years he sensed an aura he had never felt before... something ancient. The Barron looked over his nests finding his curiosity towards the aura to be far greater than that of his... experiment. Instead of consuming the maggot the Barron simple squeezed his fingers together and squishing the life out of the maggot. As the Barron left his chamber the guards he had posted seemed shocked as it was far too early for their master to emerge, but their loyalty and fear took over as they all quickly bowed before him as he passed. The Barron didn't even notice them as he passed for his senses were now stretched towards the West, towards the source of the aura he had felt. It was also then that he noticed another aura an unfamiliar subtle aura yet... powerful. The Barron let out a slight growl of annoyance, as though there was something annoying between himself and his property, before his body broke apart into thousands upon thousands of what appeared to he horse flies. The swarm flew towards the village thousands of miles away. It did not take long for the Barron's senses within the swarm sensed the Old Scholar before him.

---Several Minutes later---

At the edge of ones vision a black swarm entered the area traveling at a speed far greater than that of any other cultivator of the region could ever hope for, and even though it would only take a fraction of the second to pass by the old man and be well out of range the swarm stopped mid air in front of the Old Scholar. Out of the swarm a humanoid figure quickly took shape and emerged out leaving behind only a few hundred horse flies scattered around. The Barron stared at the Old Scholar for a few seconds, as it attempted to ascertain why one such as him were to be here... now of all times "Were you any other cultivator within my Domain I would peel the flesh off of your bones for standing in my way... out of respect I will let you explain yourself first." Though he had never seen his face before between the feeling of the Old Scholar's aura and his attire he knew that he could only be... him. As to why one such as him were to be in his domain... the only thing he could think of was the Golden Aura. The Barron knew all to well that the man who stood before him was far more powerful than himself.
