Luó Jisui
Petty Thief, Pickpocket, obsessed with wealth, stingy
When he enters the Cultivation world he finds it incredibly difficult to cultivate eventually finding that he has incredibly low aptitude for it. He would reach the end of his longevity before he even reached the 5th level (out of 9). Finds a way to supplement his low cultivation base through magical treasures (broke so he steals them or cheats them).
Though X or Y scenario he finds a technique that allows him to steal items easily Heavenly Armory. User can turn themselves into a Bag of Holding of sorts. Eventually finds another technique Treasure Cultivation, allows increase their cultivation by holding Magical Treasures, but dissipates when no longer in contact. Eventually combines the two into Physique of Earthly Sealed Treasures

Heavenly Treasured Physique
Body of Heavenly Sealed Treasures
Nine Heavens Treasured Body Seal
- User can seal away treasures into their own body, enhancing it so that in of itself becomes a Heaven Defying Treasure!
- Anything that has been sealed can be brought forth into the world but as both a and not an illusion. The weapon can cause the same damage it could in its true form but can also be launched at targets (Gilgamesh).
- Can resummon 1 time use items via this method.

------------------------
Physique of Heavenly Treasure Cultivation: Allows him to steal away the Qi and cultivation base of a Magical Item to empower his own. Essence Sealing, theft, etc. Once he has done so the items essence is permanently sealed within his body essentially performing the function of a high grade medical pill or such (gives him a cultivation boost, mostly to body cultivation, absorbs the properties of the item). Once the item is sealed within him he can call forth an illusionionary version of the item to use as attacks or defense. Items have the same abilities as they did before absorbed. Magical item based abilities still work on them. Can call forth as many copies as desired and when destroyed they disintegrate.

Once absorbed the item stays but its magical properties are erased, making it a normal mortal item. This includes properties that were forged into it from magical sources (magical iron etc).

As they are apart of his cultivation base these items can grow, if tempered, with him. Meaning that Rank 1 items can become Rank 2, 3, 4, etc.

This allows him to build an arsenal to fight any situation or any type of opponent.

Source of technique is off of a Magical Item he acquired, item told him to seal the item itself within him and auto gained the physique ability.

Sealers
- This universes version of a cultivator
- Are known through the Verse as a heretical race who do not abide by the laws of the gods who rule the countless number of worlds. By becoming Sealers they replaced the former power structures of the world of subservience and worship. Worship which can allow one to hold Borrowed power (not an essence). Essentially a Faith based system. In this system the Gods were always at the peak and never allowed a lesser being to get even close to their own power level.
- Sealers take over other worlds for numerous things the first being the collection of Essence (harvesting the gods of that world), acquisition of resources both mortal and magical, and to collect knowledge of the Dao. Each world has its own unique properties and power systems.
- By their very nature Sealers are selfish beings, vying to acquire more and more power by any means necessary even that means invading and enslaving a thousand worlds. Personal Freedom whether it be from Man or God! The majority of Sealer culture is based around these aspects as such traits are promoted. "Tread not upon the path of mortals!", "Grasp the fortunes of heaven!", "Seek the Eternal!", "Stay true to the self above all!"
- Sealers rose to prominence on their home world after the apocalypse of the gods, which began after the death of the Greater God Adam who died in a war against another worlds Gods. Ancient Human's, who at the time were subservient to the gods, sized the opportunity and harvested his corpse of his Essence becoming the first Sealers. These sealers were treated with instant disdain by the gods and called Heretics who immediately waged war upon the Sealers. With ever gods death both the number of Sealers and their strength increased with every battle. Eventually the Sealers won and became the new "Gods" of their world.
- Essence is the life force of a god which normally grants them untold power and immortality but upon the death of a god its essence is released back into the world which Sealers then harvest.
- The Sealers, desiring more power and their own world now possessing no easy to acquire essence turned their gaze to other worlds. But when they did they discovered that the world laws prevented those of a certain rank from entering. Thus in order to obtain that worlds essence they had to send lower ranked Sealers that conformed to the planar laws of that world.
- Planar Laws are the basic laws or rules of a world, normally established by the ruling gods and are essentially incredibly powerful seals and restrictions placed upon the world to control it. These seals also weaken those not native to their world.
- Gods do this as they require the faith power of mortals to become stronger, thus allow civilization to flourish and expand under their guided care. These laws also prevent their worshipers from exceeding power thresholds.
- The last god died well over 10,000 years ago and all of the essence in the Sealers home world has since been claimed. In order to cultivate new generations of Sealers higher powered Sealers will split off a Mote of their own Essence and grant it to a mortal for themselves to cultivate. This is known as becoming an Apprentice.
- In order to become an apprentice one normally signs a contract with a Sealer to serve them for a period of time and during that time turn over a portion of the essence they accumulated to their master as payment. This is the most basic and most seen contract between a Master and Apprentice.

Longevity is also linked to a Sealers rank. 100 years being the max for those under who do not have an Essence. Living longer than that requires such as they are stealing the longevity of the essence or the longevity of the gods.
Ranks of a Sealer: Every stage beyond Apprentice has Early-Stage, Middle-stage, Late-Stage & Peak. Other ranks mentioned are specific.

    [MORTAL REALM]Mortal: Normal Human
  1. Apprentice: Those possessing a Mote
Acolyte: Possess a Dao and have Branded their Mote.
Disciple: Peak Apprentice, one step away from Master. Often called Pseudo Adepts or Adept Seeds.
  2. Adept: Those possessing an Essence. Base rank required to partake in Planar Wars.
  3. Master: Those who have obtained enough essence in order to leave the home world and travel to other worlds on their own power.
Grand Master: Specific term used for Masters who have either other Masters serving under them or have subjugated another world.
  4. Elder: Peak power of those still within the "Mortal" Realm aka those who have not been ejected by the Planar Laws of the Sealer home world.
Grand Elder: A specific term for Elders who are at the Peak of their rank but have not obtained a Divine Mote either due to suppression of their cultivation base or out of fear of failure. Many elders suppress their path to the planar realm in order to ensure that the power of their clan stays strong, least until they can be replaced.
    -------------------------
    [PLANAR REALM]
  5. Ancient: Those who have obtained a Divine Mote. Once one obtained they are ejected from the home world and can no longer return. This is due to the sheer power they possess and the agreement of the various Sealer Gods that they are too powerful to be allowed to stay upon their home land.
  6. Divine: Those who have obtained a Divine Essence.
  7. Saint:
  8. Demi-God:
  9. God
  10. Eternal: Highest Rank, Unknown. Theoretical.

- One is able to create motes when they possess a Essence, when one obtains a essence they become a Master. Motes cannot be split.
- Masters can establish a Clan for themselves and cultivate their own apprentices.
- Essence can be obtained in one of two Ways; Harvest or Cultivation. Harvest is the fastest and simplest method where one steals the Essence of another and seals it within themselves. Cultivation is the most common and difficult method which requires one to Cultivate and train Motes to the point where they evolve into an Essence.
- Motes and also be harvested, but once one cultivates a Dao the mote changes to conform to it (Branding) meaning that it is actually quite difficult to integrate another Sealers Mote or even Essence into their own. Conflicting Dao's. But not impossible merely tedious.
- The Essence of the Gods does not possess the branding of a Dao and is considered to be "Pure" thus is easily harvested by Sealers. Harvesting Sealer Essence takes a long period of time to erase the existing branding.
- Motes are Cultivated into Essence through the Dao.
- The number of Dao's are as numerous as there are stars in the heavens. People can follow an established cultivation path or forge their own Dao. Clans tend to have a majority of members following Establishment while others follow the Forged Path. Which is also the more difficult method but and eventually produce awe inspiring results and eventually a new Establishment.
- Types of Establishments: Legacy (Has Elemental Legacies), Bloodline, Forged.

  • Legacy: Those Establishments passed down from older generations, anyone can learn them. One must achieve Enlightenment from their own understanding of the Legacy Dao. Medium Speed. This is what Masters also pass down to Apprentices.
  • Bloodline: Artificially created Establishments done through the permanent alternation of ones bloodline. Decedents merely have to follow their Bloodline Dao and can achieve enlightenment easily. Fastest but strictest. Hardest to erase brand. Bloodline Establishment holders progress much faster (x2) but eventually hit stronger bottlenecks when they reach the peak of their bloodline. Bloodlines can be acquired from powerful creatures.
  • Forged: Self created Establishments. Hardest overall in every aspect but the most versatile.

- As Motes are mere splinters of an essence a new Sealer is no more stronger than a mortal and normally cannot increase the power of a Mote through normal means. But thousands of years of trial and error showed that one can through the cultivation of a Dao (Which requires enlightenment), consumption of magical medicine (Alchemy).
- Enlightenment is what transforms a Mote into a Essence. This can be achieved through the understanding of their Dao and can be from inspiration. This inspiration aspect is one reason to invade other worlds as that world may possess a power system similar to their own Dao. Inspiration based enlightenment can result in alterations in a Legacy Dao making them more unique and versatile.
- Magical Items: Objects forged with Motes/Essence to grant them magical properties.
- Techniques: Physical manifestations of ones Dao and Essence in the real world. Magical Spells.
- Divine Essence is merely a higher form of normal Essence and while it is possible for lower tiered Sealers to harvest it it often merely results in the Sealer's death as their own body is not strong enough to handle it. Thus most train their body for countless years before sealing their first Divine Essence.
- Sealing even a basic Essence can result in death, but the chance of this occurring with Motes is far lower. 7/10 will die from the Mote sealing process where the death ratio of a mortal sealing an essence is 99.9/100. Death ratio of a Apprentice sealing a mote is 8/10.
- Safer to cultivate your own mote into an essence.
- Aptitude: Ones innate talent in cultivation. 1-5 scale with 5 being the highest. Lower aptitude results in slower cultivation speed. But Aptitude can change depending on the Dao one is following but only slightly. Innate Aptitude is still the base while Learned aptitude can alter it by 1 point in either direction. Also called Affinity. Example one born with an innate Aptitude of 2 can become a 3 if they were to cultivate a more fitting Dao.
- Sealers are actually considered Rare. 1/1000 Humans are one. often referred to as overcoming the 1000 Burdens.
- Demons: Or called Monsters are powerful creatures who manifested along similar lines to the gods but unlike the gods they did not form from Essence but rather believed to have been formed from the Chaotic will of the universe. There are countless types of monsters with countless abilities. Far more numerous than intelligent species. Some Demons can rival Gods. When a god is born on a new world the first fights they face are against the native Demons. Demons formed long before the gods. The bodies of demons are harvested by intelligent species to forge gear, weapons, armor, or as materials for alchemy.
- Devils: Are demons who have acquired Essence. Granting them human level intelligence and far more power. The essence they possess is called Cursed Essence as it is akin to poison for any who attempts to harvest it and normally results in death or transforming the individual into a Devil.
- Cursed Items: Magical Gear forged from Cursed Essence, one cannot completely eliminate the will of the Devil even after it has been forged into something else.

Clans
- Clan: Has one Adept and X number of Apprentices.
- Mid Scale Clan: Master ranked head.
- Large Scale Clan: Elder or Grand Elder.
- Sect: Has a member in the Planar Realm

Cultivator Idea: Luó Jisui Empty Re: Cultivator Idea: Luó Jisui

Post by Admin Tue 24 Dec - 6:41

My will is the Dao!

Personality
"My will is the Dao"
While they may not be brothers by the right of blood many others see the two as two halves of the same coin where as his brother obtained the body of a dragon Jisui obtained its will. Willpower is not something that you can be born with nor is it something that you can inherit but rather something that you must temper yourself with unwavering conviction against all adversaries; even if that is yourself. Jisui was never as strong as his friend nor as fast as his enemies so whether it was by conscious mandate or natural progression he tempered his mind to be beyond all others. His own mental fortitude can be considered to be leagues beyond even seasoned cultivators where even if he was staring down an opponent that could wipe away his existence with a simple breath he will never bow, he will never submit, nor would he ever falter in his convictions. Being the type that cannot accept the authority of anyone other than his own as he does not perceive anyone else to being on the same level as him; the only exception to this being his brother. He is the type of individual who even when his body is beaten and broken when his body is shattered and drained is able to keep standing up through sheer willpower alone. My will is as unbreaking as my Dao and my Dao is the Aeon!

"Greedy as a Dragon"
Those that come from nothing know that the value of even a solitary bronze coin can be the difference between survival or starvation. Jisui himself holds a great deal of value, possibly too much, over the amount of wealth he possesses whether it be large or small and he will protect it with his life if necessary as though he were a dragon presiding over his horde. While he is stingy like no other it is not like he is weary of spending his coin in fact he has no issues with the idea but he will ensure that every coin is worth its weight and not a coin more than necessary is spent. He will spend the money to ensure that he gets the best service, the best medical pills, the exotic women, and most of all the best treasure. Local shop keeps know all to well the headache that is Jisui and to those that don't will soon understand as he is more than willing to spend hours haggling just to shave off a few coins off of the price tag; he pays what its worth and not a penny more. Why should he allow another to take what is his and why should he allow another to keep what he wants? If he wants something he will take it and if they try to stop him he will beat them down. He does not care for ones social standing or position as once his eyes land upon something he desires no one and nothing can prevent him from claiming it nor the consequences of such an act. If brute force cannot obtain it then he will use other more... subtle means as to acquire it. A dragon without its horde is naught but a mere lizard.

"Conning is such a simple term for what is a way of life"
Loose morals, an intelligent mind, and empty pockets are a poor combination least from the perspective of the one who just noticed that their purse is missing. As what could expect of one of his upbringing he is well versed in the arts that one would attribute to the lower legs of society whether it be burglary, pick pocketing, or conning. Jisui likes to think that he could swindle a dragon out of its horde with mere words alone and strangely... hes not entirely wrong. Having a way with words that, when required, can make him seem incredibly personable, charming, and downright persuasive having such an easy time with lying that even those trained in the arts of detection would find it difficult to differentiate between what is true and what is not. To make others believe something which is naught or to perceive the truth in such a way where it bends to his desires is but a simple matter for him. Being quite able to think of both simple and complicated schemes to take away the wealth and holdings of others whether it be through speech or action. However, despite having a level of vernacular acuity and dominating noble speech ability he'd rather not spend hours swaying you with words as it is far easier to just run ones blade against your throat. Speech, persuasion, or even trash talk are mere tools that pale in comparison to the most effective means of taking what he wants; pure, brutal overwhelming force. To him there is nothing more invigorating and entertaining than to take what you want while the former owners watch unable to stop you.

"History is not made, it is decided by those who still live"
To one such as him morals are not something that need to be questioned or altered as his own are immortal. With such a mindset it is no wonder that Jisui has little mental hindrances to the ideas of theft, blackmail, trickery, or even to things as murder. He will not think think twice or even once in that matter as to whether or not if he should kill someone as in his mind he is in the right and justified after all what grievances, what hatred, can the dead hold. When he decides to kill someone no one will be able to stop him from doing so. While others may stray away from things such as fighting, while he can potential talk his way out of situations, he actually prefers to fight; of which he enjoys more than any of the 6 pleasures. To him fighting, when his life is on the line, is a rush like nothing else as he knows that he will win... just not how yet. To stand aloft another, to look down upon them from the insurmountable heavens is a pleasure in of itself. Violence is a means for his ends.

"Naught is mightier than understanding"
There is more to wealth than what can be merely held within the palm. What use is a blade, gem, or book if you do not understand its true worth. How much can you gain of it if you believe it to be like any other. Jisui, as being born with a weak physique, grew up with an inquisitive mind. He sought to understand the inner workings of the things and people around him not from sort of silly scholarly pursuit but rather so that he could understand its true worth and deliver the greatest profits. When one hunts a boar do you just sell it outright to the butcher? No. What you do instead is carve it up to separate the hide, meat, bone, teeth, eyes and even tongue and sell each one individually to deliver the greatest profits. Then showcase your knowledge to dumbfound the buyer into thinking that the Boars hide is gold. This skill in of itself is most commonly known as Appraisal and is one that few of his position could ever hope to touch let alone excel in. Though vast understanding of numerous subjects is to achieve the best Appraisal results comes with a price; time and memory. From a early age Jisui sought out this knowledge from any source he could find usually through books but also from the miners, smiths, weavers, and butchers that worked in these items every day. To see him reading a book is nothing out of the ordinary. Collecting knowledge, reading books, and gaining understanding or enlightenment of the nature of the world around him is as natural to him as swimming is to a fish.

"Thicker than blood"
While he has no quarrel in the acts of lying, cheating, or stealing from anyone around him there is a solitary person under the heavens of which he will never hurt, cross, or let down that being his blood brother; least not on purpose. This is the one relationship that he holds close to his heart and is the one person in this world that he will turn over the heavens in order to help. The one person who when asked for help will never question his reasoning, that when asked if he has his back he will already have it, and when asked to do the undo able or unthinkable all he will respond with is asking where and when. The two of them possess a bond he well understands where as one of the brothers pushes the other forward into the abyss the other tethers him back so that he does not stray in the dark.
