- Mother was of a small nomadic earth nation tribe known as the Hollowbone Tribe, named for a type of genetic disorder where their bones were hollow like birds.
- Father was a Fire nation officer who fell in love, sired a child but had to return to the military after his deployment ended. Ynura was named as a Bastard.
- Discovered early in life that she was a Fire Bender but of little skill, skill that never increased with her age.
- During a once in a century thunderstorm she discovered her talent for Lightning bending, preventing her Tribe from being destroyed by lightning.
- She stopped training in fire bending and focused entirely on lightning bending.
- At the age of 10 her mother died due to sickness and Ynura fled the tribe to find her father in the Fire Nation.
- After a year of searching she found him and showed him her talent in Lightning Bending of which she was sent to train in the Fire Nation Military Academy.
- Her talent allowed her to not just generate Lightning but find a way to store it within her body for later use, allowing her to release lighting and electricity without any sort of bending form; Battery.
- Underwent a experimental surgery, Holes in her palms
