3 Stages of his Life
- The Butcher
- The Samurai
- The Exile

- Grew up poor, desolate area of Earth Nation, poor farmers family
- Enlisted in Earth Nation Military to find a better life
- At the Age of 22 his ship was destroyed by the Fire nation and he became marooned on a small Fire Nation island.
- There he learned the art of the sword and 'Bushido'. Namely self control.
- There he matured from a angry boy to a controlled soldier.
- Learned to take in wisdom from the other nations, even the fire nation, to make his self more whole and complete.
- Became a Scholar.
- Awakened his spiritual affinity.

Return to Home
- Became a Captain in the Military, and a Scholar.
- Birth of his 2 sons.
- Was known for his ruthless and cruel, yet effective tactics against the fire nation. Holding a great deal of respect for his Nations enemy.
- Eventually became a Earth Nation General at the age of 35.
- Sent a regiment of his forces into the Desert to seek out the Great Library hidden within, He did not find it and only 20% of his army returned.
- Became known for his lack of desire to engage in pointless politics, he was a Soldier first.
- Became enemies with the Dai Li after he took several of them prisoner and executed them for treason.
- At the age of 41 the Dai Li along with several other Generals plotted his death.
- His forces were sabotaged during a large battle against a superior fire nation force. His intel was false and his spies were assassinated.
- Wife was killed by the Dai Li, 1 of his sons died in the battle after taking a regiment to distract the enemy allowing his father to escape.
- Was driven into the great desert where all remaining members of his force died of their wounds, dehydration, from the desert creatures, or by Malicious spirits.
Including his last son.

Exile
- Near death he attempted to save the remaining of his honor by committing ritual suicide, as to not leave the world in disgrace.
- Before he bled out a malevolent spirit began to toy with him and even possessed him, both saving his life and permanently disfiguring him.
- Was saved by a desert nomad tribe.
- He wouldn't tell them his name so they called him Dag
- Self imposed Exile and allowed his former past die with the name 'General' Faoh and took on the name 'Dag'. Faoh would not leave this world in disgrace.
- Learned of Humility.
- Became enlightened in his spiritual affinity in the desert.
- Over the next few years the same spirit would continue to haunt both his life and his dreams, constantly showing him the countless horrors and atrocities that had been committed by Humans. The spirit found it humorous.
- After nearly 7 years of his Dag's spiritual affinity grew strong enough that he was able to 'erase' and consume the spirit tormenting him, before it died telling him that while he understood that what he saw was the Spirits doing he still thanked it for showing him the truth of this world.
- He reached a sort of Enlightenment; In order to save Humanity, all that which corrupts it must be purged.
- Remember that which is worth Saving and the rest shall be washed from the pages of history.
- It is not just the war that is rotten, it is the governments and people that drive it, in every nation there is a deeply seeded corruption that will only continue in its rotten bloom again and again creating a never ending cycle of destruction... one must be willing pluck out even the smallest and innocent of seedlings if you hope to see a pure harvest.

- When he would travel to the spirit world he found that his spirit would infect other spirits with hatred and through this a connection to the physical world allowing them to enter through him.
- Found that he could control and direct these infected spirits and more so direct them to possess the corpses of mortal beings to create undead.
- Birth of Dag of the Grave, The Grave Walker, Dag of the Dead Sands. Dag the Exile

The so-called “Bushido” was the traditional code of the samurai. Bushido had several main aspects which were important: frugality, loyalty, mastery of martial arts and honor. Also, there were eight really important virtues: righteousness, courage, benevolence, respect, sincerity, honor, loyalty and self-control. The samurai’s life, career and behavior were adjusted to these aspects and they were followed strictly, even if that would mean death. For example, if a warrior was defeated in battle and thus lost his honor, he committed the ritual suicide called “seppuku” to not leave this world in disgrace.

PERSONALITY
"When the flower becomes rotten one must prune it to save the stem lest never bloom again, but... if the rot spreads to the root one must be willing rip the flower out in its entirety so that its seeds be allowed to blossom." - Na Yaomak of the Fire Nation

Dag is a man that is both capable of great humility and kindness but also unfounded cruelty and destruction.

Humility is the belief that no matter how much you think you know, there is always something you don't know. It the understanding that even you most cherished beliefs... could be wrong, and the willingness to change those beliefs if its clear they're wrong.

Rebirth

Both enlightened and defined by his past, the exile known as Dag is a man defined by that which has long since transpired.

In his early years Faoh was an incredibly ambitious, angry, and cruel man, in order to gain rank in the military he had little qualms about stepping over or betraying his comrades if it meant to gain a rank. It was enough that even his superiors knew that if they needed a man with a strong stomach they would use him. In these years Faoh sought nothing else other than to remove the stain of his upbringing; of being a poor farmers child in a desolate region of the Earth Nation.

After his marooning in the Fire Nation, and more importantly after being taught by Emishi Tribe, Faoh's mindset evolved as he found though both code and meditation to let go of his anger; a trait which had been holding him back for years. While he still retained his ambitious and cruelty he found ways to implement the virtues of the Emishi way into his life righteousness, courage, benevolence, respect, sincerity, honor, loyalty and most of all self-control. It was here that his mentality of a 'Military Man' came to be. He became calm and disciplined and when he returned to the Earth Nation he used these virtues to become one of the youngest Generals in Earth Nation history.

In Exile Dag learned to let go of his past

Dag is a man who is both enlightened and haunted by his past. One one hand it has led him to a sort of spiritual balance between his own life and that with the world around him, but upon the turn of the palm he despises the state of the world seeded with deep feelings of hatred and most of all vengeance. Some may believe that these two sides as conflicting but they've found a sort of harmony within him as his path of vengeance is what leads to his spiritual balance.

In his past Dag was the prime example of a 'Military Man'; Calm, disciplined, and most of all followed his orders to the T. While this lead him to great success in his earlier career after he became General these traits did nothing but conflict with those of his peers and superiors. Of which ultimately lead to them betraying him. After his supposed death and self imposed exile he became far more... fluid in his thoughts and actions as when he exiled himself he let the old him die with the title of General. He became far more easygoing, open-minded, generous, and found a wisdom in his past that allows him to become wizened in the ways of the world.

Despite his changed demeanor after his exile Dag still possesses his ruthless nature and even now would not bat an eye at the thought of burning down an entire village in order to achieve his goal. Life is both precious and fleeting, one must strive to greatness but accept that we are meaningless in the eyes of the all-knowing.
