BnHA | Jakoby Khan
Personality
During his time amongst the living Jakoby Khan, or rather just plain Jack, could be easily described as a grizzled, cynical, apathetic who took to the drink long ago. When he was younger in both age and career he was far more energetic and hard working but after the numerous years of being on the force all of these were slowly beaten out of him. He quickly learned that the system he worked for was rigged, always had been, and he eventually just wanted his cut of it. He just wanted to get by as easily as he could to pay for his booze and women. His leadership and peers saw him as nothing more than unmotivated and routinely assigned the least urgent tasks as well as any assignments for which results were not required.
They say that you should hire a lazy person to do the job as they will find the easiest way to complete it. Well... Jack could be said to take a bit of this to heart. Though while no one could state that he was not a hard-worker he would take just about every liberty afforded to him to make sure that assignments were stretched out. He knew just how to walk the thin line between what was legal or not and would routinely cross that line to make sure that he got the results he needed. He took pay-offs when he could and made arrests when he had to, and if he didn't have to get involved he wouldn't; it was easier that way. He never really cared about what people thought about him.
Even at his eulogy one of the first people to speak on his behalf was one of his former partners, the first thing they said about him, was that he was a fucking asshole; jack himself wouldn't deny this. He did not really care about pissing people off, too much, as he knew all too well who exactly and how much he could push them to get his way. Though most of the time if someone pushed him to lay off something, outside of his finial investigation, he would back off without a second thought; as long as he got compensated for his time. Though it was his last investigation that changed him the deeper he got into it, it was also this investigation that caused his death. Even his former partner said that while he was an asshole, if it wasn't for him the girl he was searching for would of never been found. Jack never once asked for thanks, for he rarely even deserved it, even during the one moment where he told the little girl (the first time he had even met her) all he said was for her to run. Even as he was bleeding out he felt somewhat conflicted as on one hand he did something good for once but on the other... he was fucking dying for some no-name toddler.
In death Jack... well he really wasn't much different than he was in life the only difference was... well it was fucking boring! He couldn't sleep, drink, eat, get back with his girls down at the club nothing! All he really could do was follow along and watch people go about their daily lives. He followed a college student for nearly a year just seeing what the college life was like and even though the kid couldn't see him he would often spout out advice... it made it less lonely. He watched the kid fail his first exam, meet and get together with his first girlfriend, his first break up, and everything in between. He would jokingly think of himself as a sort of guardian angel... if he could actually do anything that is. Also spent quite a few years haunting the various hero academies. Though strangely he never once checked in on the girl who's life he saved... it was easier to not know as if he did he knew that he would never leave her side.
Having died over 20 years ago, and having literally no one to talk or interact with in that time, had lead to some... side effects. He can often be found having full on conversations with himself though prefers to act out scenes with the people around him though voice acting their lines. He will make 'them' say crazy or outlandish things and just go where the 'scene' takes him; something he picked up after watching countless acting classes. Movies and TV are one of his pleasures nowadays as for one he can watch them all for free and it keeps him relatively 'sane'. Plus it keeps him all up to date on pop culture. Though it can get annoying when he cannot choose what he wants. This has reached the point where he has a daily routine where he goes to one house because they know they watch one thing at this time and then go to another place to watch another specific thing; like clockwork. He really gets into his shows.
TYPE: Mutant/Transformation
DESCRIPTION: Deadman Funland is a unique quirk which only manifests itself in the unfortunate event of the users death, which also essentially means that until their death they are essentially quirkless. Upon death this quirk transforms the user into a sort of ghost, spirit, or apparition where they cannot interact with the real world and in turn nothing within the real world can effect them and cannot even be seen by the living; effectively putting he user in a sort of limbo stuck unable to do anything but watch as the world around them leaves their memory behind.
As a "Spirit" he can see, hear, feel, and smell everything around him as though he were of the living though obviously the opposite is not possible. He is capable of 'touching' objects but not actually interacting with them meaning that he can feel the grain of the wood but not actually move it in any way. He can also choose not to interact with objects or people meaning that he can move right through them like any other classical spirit. He can even choose not to interact with the floor and allow himself to float/fly around at will.
Being of the dead he can actually interact with the dead... sort of as while they themselves might not become spirits like him he can actually interact with their corpses and by 'Possessing' the corpse and reliving the moments up until their death; emotions and pain included. The event itself can be described as quite... traumatic as the users own will or mental tolerances mean nothing as it is someone else's that they are experiencing.
Under normal, average, circumstances no one can see or hear them but after years of being stuck in this state Jack discovered that there was in fact a way of allowing this; this being connection. By learning more and more about a individual they can effectively allow that solitary person to both see and hear them; the latter being much easier. But physical interaction is still impossible. Essentially he has to haunt someone.
People and scholars have been asking for centuries as to what would a ghost look like. Would they look exactly like they did in the moment of their death? Would they look like some sort of shapeless blob? Or would they just look like themselves in their pristine form. Well Jack can actually tell you that its all of these... yep really. When he first woke up as a ghost he was still wearing his bloodied clothes he even had the bullet wounds for that matter. Though over time he learned that he could erase his death wounds to look completely "healthy" or at least how he looked like before he was shot to death. More so he also take on the appearance of his corpse as it looks now or at any point during the... decomposition process. He has the best zombie/skeleton costume at any Halloween party.
WEAKNESS: The most obvious disadvantage of the quirk Deadman Funland is the simple critical requirement for activation in the first place; death. If the user is still among the living then they are effectively just another quirkless human with no knowledge that their death will turn on their quirk. The second most obvious disadvantage is that... well the user is a ghost and while he may be able to see the living the living cannot see him; or interact/perceive him in any way under normal circumstances including quirks. This simple fact makes it quite difficult to do... well anything other than existing in a limbo. Even in the specific circumstances where someone living can see or hear him it is effectively limited to just that; sight and sound.

[div align="center"][/div]
QUIRK NAME: Deadman Funland
QUIRK TYPE: Mutation/Transformation
QUIRK RANK: Novice
QUIRK TIER: Bronze
QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Deadman Funland is a unique quirk which only manifests itself in the unfortunate event of the users death, which also essentially means that until their death they are essentially quirkless.
[div]People and scholars have been asking for centuries as to what would a ghost look like. He has the best zombie/skeleton costume at any Halloween party.[/div]
QUIRK DRAWBACKS: The most obvious disadvantage of the quirk Deadman Funland is the simple critical requirement for activation in the first place; death.
