[Background]
Born in the Year of the Dragon, Shinryu, as Dasku no Yamato, is the third son of Sakumo Yamato, a doctor employed by the village. He showed promise at a young age - referred to as the ‘prodigal Yamato son’ by the public – that he was made a Jonin by the age of only 15. His father’s death was hard on him, so much that he felt he had to run away, and that he did. He became a mercenary for hire, focusing mostly on gathering income and dodging bounty hunters who tried to claim his head.
