David possess the ability to turn anything that he touches into a bomb & furthermore can cause it to violently explode causing massive damage to the target itself or anything nearby. Though rather unlike placing a mere normal physical explosive on a target the object itself quite literally becomes the bomb that is exploding rather than being struck by an explosion. This makes things such as shields or barriers quite useless against this ability. Another advantage of this ability is the users own unconscious/remote/mental awareness of all of his bombs no matter the distance. Though with all of that being said the greatest weakness of this ability is the simple fact that it requires physical contact to work meaning that if David cannot physically touch something it cannot be turned into a bomb. Furthermore a method around his ability is to remove that which has been touched, such as clothing, so that they cannot be injured by a imminent explosion.
With greater knowledge comes greater control & with application to this ability is no exception to this rule. With further application David is quite able to create both time & condition based bombs. Meaning that a bomb(s) that he has created will either explode after a appointed amount of time or after a certain condition has been met such as a action or lack there of; Ex: target failed to arrive at a destination after a certain period of time. Furthermore as expected these conditions can even result in the bomb disarming, though much to their misfortune and anyone knowledge the bombs merely enter a stasis period until the user wishes to re-activate them. This is possibly the greatest hidden secret of this ability and those who have learned of it never had the chance to tell.
