Rook has more than his fair share of issues concerning the idea of "Personal Space"; being unable to cope with someone entering his personal space, which is around 1m from himself. He has a unnatural ability to sense when ever someone enters his personal space or better yet when someone becomes sick, and when they do he becomes completely irrationally logical as well as extremely violent and sadistic. Because of this trait many people find bloody corpses that look like they have been crushed into the ground like pancakes. Considering how busy and crowded some areas can become it is little to no wonder why he leaves a literal trail of corpses where ever he goes. Though he has no problems allowing corpses into his personal space.

As a shaman he has, or at least believes that he has some sort of connection to the spirit world. Going as far as to forgoing the use of a navigator and relying on his ability to evoke spirits to become a spirit guide and tell him where to go next. He claims to being able to sense when someone is being possessed by a malevolent spirit, though many times he just uses this as a poorly designed excuse to bash their heads in. Despite disbelief of most he is seemingly able to predict the future of those around him, to some degree and along with very vague fortunes; all of which by casting and reading bones or by burning bones and reading the cracks.

He seems to have a obsession with skinning things, as one can see by the sheer magnitude of his personal collection. Possessing a great deal of skill in flaying that is akin to a master, able to flay a human or creature in a matter of minutes with little to no damage done to the skin itself, and even less done to the meat. He thoroughly enjoys the process, and even more fighting famous individuals he plans to skin. Often tormenting weaker foes with the fact that he is is going to be skinning them alive in little to no time. For the sake of a more unique skin he takes a greater deal of liking towards Zoan users and will more than often attempt to skin them while in their hybrid forms.

Despite his general aura of a personal space, he has little to no problems being near animals or better yet he would rather be near animals than humans. Having quite a soft spot for them, except for any species of cat; one of the only species that he despises as much as humans. Animals tend to get attached to him as well, whether it is something to do with his aura, smell, or any other number of factors they seem to instantly like him; even if they are carnivorous or natural hostile. Often one can see strays or wild animals following him around into town, it becoming a issue when hostile creatures follow him and begin to damage buildings or even eat people.[/list]

The idea of a shaman is something played though many cultures, normally relating to those who encounter and interact with the spirit world, though on the Blue Line shamans are those who are able to connect to and manifest the spirits of deceased creatures; via the use of an advanced form of haki manipulation. By infusing their own haki into that of a deceased animal, such as a animal skin, they are able to manifest the creatures haki in the form of a spectral entity with the corpse or skin at its core. This spectral entity is made of pure Busoshoku Haki and therefore is able to interact with the world.

Rook uses this technique in conjunction with the panda skin he wears as a hood, once he infuses his own haki into the pelt he is able to call out the spirit and haki of the panda and then take control of it as if it were his own. This allows him to create a spectral entity of the panda of varying sizes ranging from its normal size to well over 10m. As the skin must remain as its core Rook is able to remain in the center of the entity and use it as a form of offense and defense, and as the creature is made of pure Busoshoku Haki it is able to become a incredibly strong barrier like shield and a powerful attacking tool; essentially is able to preform any act a physical living creature could do or any act that it could do in life. As a added feature Rook is able to control the level of viability the entity has, essentially allowing him to have a invisible shield and claws, though by decreasing the visibility it also reduces its defensive and offensive power with the most visible form being pure black.

Possessing a great deal of combat experience and natural aptitude that allows him to not only stay 'calm' in the middle of battle but to stay ahead of his opponent. Partially due to his issues with personal space he has focused a great deal of his own time into developing his speed and agility as to avoid or completely outmaneuver a opponent rather than be close to deliver devastation physical blows. As such his level of situational awareness is high as well, allowing him to catch a great deal of detail from his surroundings even if his opponents are cloaked to the naked eye.

[b]WEAKNESSES[/b] | Rook's main and primary weakness is his general inability to fight with his own two hands, nearly completely relying on his entities to do all of the dirty work for him; effectively meaning that his own physical strength is considered to be nothing but average in terms of a supernova. If someone is to enter his 'personal space' he more than often completely loses it, becoming relentless and nothing but a sadistic killer. Forgoing any former attempt to keep bodily damage dealt to his opponent to a minimum.
