John himself is a Clockwork Mechanism with not a single portion of his body possessing a ounce of flesh and blood but rather of springs and gearwheels. This physiology leads many to believe him to be some sort of clockwork, primitive AI though this is far from the case as while Johns body is capable of moving on its own his soul is what is infused into and controls the body. As to whether or not John himself created himself or someone else did is generally a unknown as even John himself does not remember.

Being not just limited to himself, John is capable of creating other clockwork mechanisms as if he were a one man assembly line. These mechanisms can appear to be humanoid or as any other type of creation that he can think of. These clockwork mechanisms can be controlled in one of two ways; Inactive and Active control. Active control means that John himself is controlling every action of the clockwork piece as if it were a extension of his own body while Inactive means that the piece is moving of its own accord. This inactive control occurs in one of two ways either in AI form were all action are preset before hand, which as suspected can be somewhat limited in scope, or though a fashion similar to himself; soul infusion. This effectively means that John is capable of infusing souls into his clockwork mechanisms to give them control of the piece though unlike himself who is under his own control these mechanisms fall under his own complete control. Additionally John can dictate the amount that each soul retains of their former life.

The design of each Clockwork piece comes with a variety of built in weaponry which includes simple weapons such as blades to more advanced weapons such as chainsaws, guns, flamethrowers, and explosive launchers effectively giving each a hidden arsenal. Clockwork pieces also possess the ability to draw, store, & release an electrical charge.

All Clockwork mechanisms possess the same type of innate abilities including self-repair/modification & 360 movement, even in the middle of battle, by literally pulling themselves back together and altering their design in any direction. Soul controlled pieces are capable of this more than others as they can continue to control pieces of their own body even after they are severed. Clockwork pieces are also capable of entering a state of overclocking which speeds up their gears and components to allow a temporary boost in performance though at the cost of self damage if used for prolonged periods of time. As clockwork mechanisms each is naturally immune to various effects such as disease, poison, emp, and vacuum or hazardous environments such as extreme hot or cold temperatures via inbuilt cooling or heating systems.

John possesses the power to create mutually binding contracts between 2 parties, himself included, of which he himself is able to dictate the terms, conditions, rules, qualifiers, and repercussions of said contract.
■ Both parties involved must agree to the contract of their own free will in order for it to take effect meaning that effects such as mind control will not allow one to accept a contract, but threatening or drugging someone to accept would.
■ The creation of a contract can be done in a variety of ways most notably with the manifestation of a literal paper contract which one must physically sign though other agreement methods can be used such as shaking hands or speech.
■ Almost anything one owns can be traded via a contract meaning both the physical and spiritual; including years of ones life and soul or even their strength, memories, material goods/services, luck, or even life itself. Powers cannot be traded only given up.
■ Even after signing it is up to ones own free will to complete the contract, though at the expense of repercussions.
■ Repercussions naturally can include the loss of benefits, possibly with added interest, and even the loss of years of their life or their life. Obviously with no refund.
■ John himself can use almost any physical or spiritual good received for himself or as currency in another deal.
■ One is capable of using years of their life in exchange for temporary benefits in the form of raw energy i.e. healing, stamina, or physical strength/ability.
■ "Gifting" can be done as long as the receiving party receives no 'negative' benefits.
Negative benefits must be agreed upon by said receiving party

There is an old saying used by the hard workers of this world stating that "You can rest when you are dead!"... well for some in this world that line can be a load of bull with John being one of those. John himself can be classified as a Zombie, being quite literally raised from the dead by a long since deceased necromancer nearly 30 years ago during an experiment to create a new generation of zombie. An experiment that can be classified as a partial success as right after animation his new zombie proceeded to tear his neck out with his teeth. It was only afterwords that the zombie gained its clarity.

As a zombie John possesses a variety of innate abilities such as lacking most physical needs and weaknesses (i.e. food, water, oxygen), lack of pain, need to rest, vulnerability to environmental effects, and immunity to most powers that effect or control living beings. Additionally John is capable of controlling his own limbs even after severing which also shows that he is effectively immortal to such effects. Stemming from the same branch, in the event that a limb or body part is competently destroyed John can find a suitable replacement and quite literally stitch it back on to become a new limb. Zombies also have a natural increased strength (even more so to their bite!), & consumption healing allowing one to eat to regenerate their body. A less lovely or sanitary ability of his is what he obtains after eating the brain of a living creature, that being their memories.

As a "New" generation zombie he is not just limited to himself but rather he is quite capable of passing along his Physiology to other willing or unwilling subjects though unlike himself these 2nd generation zombies become subject to the users own control. John can even assume direct control over any of his zombies as if they were his own body. There are also other variations of zombies that John is capable of creating such as Ferals/Mindless, Constructs, or Revenants. Zombies, as they no longer need substance or oxygen, tend to become more and more pale as time goes on.
